Graduate Students

The Miller lab welcomes students from all backgrounds, including those from historically underrepresented groups.

Harvard Medical School is home to multiple excellent PhD programs. We are members of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) and Program in Neuroscience (PiN), which are the most common pathways for PhD students to join our lab. Students from any other Harvard PhD program, such as Health Sciences and Technology (HST), are also eligible to rotate in and join our lab.

We also will consider students from other universities, including in Europe, who are interested in performing their thesis research in our lab as a visiting graduate student.

As a graduate student in the Miller lab, you will gain expertise in several fields that will prepare you for success in your future career, whether in academic science, medicine, biotechnology, or other areas. Our interdisciplinary work includes neurodegenerative disease biology, genomics, neuropathology, molecular biology, and neuroscience.
